I've learned the hard way to avoid WIPs. Not only because they might not be finished but because I can't keep the story lines in my head.

I don't think anything is difficult when you know how to do it. It's the knowing that's the difficult part. I can use curves to adjust lighting, adjust contrast, get rid of color cast perhaps...but not to do the fine points of coloring. I've read several tutorials by [livejournal.com profile] brasaremean that use curves but so far I haven't really understood how to apply the knowledge there.
