I really can't complain about the feedback I receive on icons. Yes, a lot of it's of the generic variety of "nice!" or "Snagging #2, thanks!" but I know writers who spend far more time crafting a brilliant story and don't get half the responses that I do for icons. I'm very aware of how nice it is to have so much feedback.
That said? I adore the more detailed feedback, even if it's to say, "eh, this thing you tried doesn't work for me." I learn from the experience. :)
THANK YOU for taking the time to tell me what you liked. I'll tell you a secret: I, too, really liked the way Daniel came out in that icon. Originally, It had another character (Teal's, I think) and I liked the way they'd photographed together in it but what looked good on Daniel didn't on him so I took him out. My annoyance with this icon has more to do with struggling to find the right background texture. I never found the "right" one to my way of thinking, but I found the best of what I had available.
