Yay! I'm totally at a loss when it comes to stock icons (I need skin as my guide to tones!) so I was uncertain on the coloring.
I got that profile of Teryl from a cap that elfcat255 made for sg1_lims, here (http://s284.photobucket.com/albums/ll11/sg1_lims/Round1x07/?action=view¤t=vlcsnap-523047.png). That scene is one of my faves (as evidenced by my icon I'm using).
I'm not a fan of the split myself, though it distracts from the fact that I got a little too crazy with the cyan and the whites of her eyes are more like the cyans of her eyes. ;) I play around with composition a little when I'm making icons for possible entry into a LIMS competition. It means I make a lot of crappy icons, some acceptable ones, and one or two that I really love. I liked the way dividing her up worked but I wouldn't use the icon myself. I like whole faces. :)
