19. 112 Icons: IBAR Celebration

I was hoping to have more new icons in celebration of International Blog Against Racism Week but I've run out of time. I started with pics snagged from the PicSpam in Sage-Theory's LJ, augmented it with a few pics from Eureka and Babylon 5, sprinkled in a tiny bit of CSI: NY at the request of [livejournal.com profile] jalabert, and couldn't resist pulling up some of my older icons to finish it off.

Fandoms represented: Andromeda, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, Criminal Minds, CSI, CSI: NY, Dark Angel, Doctor Who, Dresden Files, Eureka, Firefly, Heroes, Lost, SG-1, SGA, Torchwood, Witchblade, Sin City, and Will Smith. Yes, Will Smith is a fandom unto himself.

Thats a great idea. You can either get the pics from my site: http://www.danpaynefans.net or from dans official site: http://www.dan-payne.com

That's cool. Whenever you have time. If I don't mention things as I think of them, though, they...well, evaporate! (Mentalpause, you know.)

Oh, and yeah...wouldn't want to go overboard on the number and lose too much quality. But the four I mentioned - and Thor?! - would be cool. I mean, yeah, there's Martouf and Kawalski and any number of beloved we *could* include...

69 was awesome, plus the CSI Warriok ones were BEAUTIFUL.

These are just so gorgeous I can't stand myself. They're definitely the best icons of Mohinder I've seen and gah, they're all so beautiful, I don't know where to start.

Thank you so much for sharing your talent!

These are beautiful!! Snagging the last Gary Dourdan one and the last Gina Torres one. Her hair is to die for. Thank you so much for sharing!

These are all gorgeous, well done!

86 (close up on Teyla) just takes my breath away, though. Snagging.

This is probably not the place to get into an impassioned defense of Mohinder, LOL! But maybe I'll do that as one of my IBARW posts, since I love him like burning. :) It's just so nice to see pretty icons of him.

Aside: I don't suppose you would be willing to make icons of Rena Sofer/Heidi Petrelli? The actress's father is an Orthodox rabbi and she's Jewish. I kind of love her and your icons are just gorgeous.
paian: blank white (mmmm...)

::smooshes!:: I'm so happy that you like that Jack icon -- I was thrilled with how it came out, and it owes totally to things I picked up from your files. You've provided me with more PS Epiphanies than I can count.

And this icon post, really, it's just a giant cornucopia of wonderfulness, and shows off so much of what I admire in your work, cropping and coloring and textures and humor and emotion. Yay! :-) :-)

Dude, lovely. Taking #21 (Max/Original Cindy).

No, not at all vexing. I just didn't want to Mohinder-theorize on your icon post! I'm working up a post about it anyway because it's a good [livejournal.com profile] ibarw thing to do. So, I'll point you there when it's done if you're curious. :)

Oh, that would be outstanding. I can point you to a few pictures if you want, but there's no hurry. It's not for IBARW that I want them. I just realized that I don't have many icons of Jewish characters or actors, and I wanted a few. Since Rena's so astereotypically Jewish in her looks, I thought it'd be nice to have some of her. Not to mention she's just gorgeous. *g*

Thanks again so much for doing these. Your cropping and lighting just...it really works for me. Beautiful work!

A Henry icon! Love love love! THANK YOU!

Late to the party, but just wanted to say how utterly gorgeous these icons are. The three close-up icons of the BSG actress are just arrestingly beautiful. On all of these (and #9 in particular) the richness of the colors, the clarity of the images, and the luminosity of the faces are really extraordinary. If you ever feel like doing a tutorial again (and I don't mean to pressure you in any way because as enjoyable as sharing process may be, I know they must take many hours of work), it would be fascinating to learn how you achieved that.

Also, thank you so much for your offer (over on [livejournal.com profile] oneill_icontest) of sharing .psd files on occasion. That's extremely generous of you! I do use Photoshop, and it's a wonderful opportunity to keep in mind. (And in a million years, I would never want one of yours to see what not to do, heh!)
