I was hoping to have more new icons in celebration of International Blog Against Racism Week but I've run out of time. I started with pics snagged from the PicSpam in Sage-Theory's LJ, augmented it with a few pics from Eureka and Babylon 5, sprinkled in a tiny bit of CSI: NY at the request of
jalabert, and couldn't resist pulling up some of my older icons to finish it off.
Fandoms represented: Andromeda, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, Criminal Minds, CSI, CSI: NY, Dark Angel, Doctor Who, Dresden Files, Eureka, Firefly, Heroes, Lost, SG-1, SGA, Torchwood, Witchblade, Sin City, and Will Smith. Yes, Will Smith is a fandom unto himself.

Date: 2007-08-06 07:43 pm (UTC)Do you have the capability of making one that rotates among images?
I was thinking that one of Ford with "Death by TPTB" would be cool rotating between Fraiser, Beckett, Jacob Carter and Ford. *looks all cute and pleady*

Date: 2007-08-06 07:44 pm (UTC)Oh, and the DbTPTB rotation could include Skaara, too, I guess, since he, you know, got blown up by Anubis.

Date: 2007-08-07 02:14 pm (UTC)I can't get better without it. It's a little painful to dredge up some of my older icons because I used to sharpen the bejeezus out of them; it wasn't until a kind person pointed out my over sharpening that I got it (mostly) under control. I had hoped, in fact, to revisit some of these over-sharpened icons and correct them for IBAR but time was not on my side.
I've become increasingly enamored of b/w. It solves a multitude of color sins, to be sure, but it focuses me more on the content of the icon. It makes me look for ways to add drama whereas in color, I often want the color to star and so I purposefully avoid all that distracting drama. ;)

Date: 2007-08-09 12:26 am (UTC)Isn't her hair gorgeous? I'll admit that the first icon of her up there was all about the hair. :) I didn't care that it was a predictable crop because -- HAIR! Thank you for the comment.

Date: 2007-08-16 05:16 pm (UTC)Since you use PS, feel free to ask for the files any time you want. I usually keep the *.psd file for anything I do. Sometimes I end up making several files for an icon but 98% of them are a single file.

Date: 2007-09-27 02:43 am (UTC)I took a few, plus 3 of your Teylas.
The one that brought me to your journal was Teal'c meditating ( kelnoreeming...) --good clear image, and the peaceful strength is there.
I will credit. The sepia toned Teyla is very distinctive looking-- I really like it.

Date: 2007-09-27 03:11 am (UTC)There's someone else who loves sepia! I love sepia tones, sepia prints, sepia colorings but they haven't proven popular. *shrug* I make some icons solely because they please me and some icons because I think other people will like them, too. The sepia are firmly of the former category.
Thank you for the compliments and the comment. :)
