Awwww... *snuggles* Again with the compliments and the goofy grin. I see from looking at your LJ that some hearty congrats are in order to you for the book -- even if I'm late in giving them. So.... YAY!!!!! *throws confetti*

I do love her commentaries. It's always a treat to get a cast member but Amanda gives these completely down to earth narratives and she never forgets that she's there to tell backstage stories that will amuse and enlighten the fans. I really enjoyed James Tichenor's commentaries, as well, for much the same reason. I wish they'd gotten Teryl to do a couple of them because I'd love to hear her take on, say, Rite of Passage, which has some of my all time favorite Janet scenes.

I would LOVE it if they'd go back and add to the commentaries for the early seasons. Those are still my favorites in terms of story lines and I'd love to have additional discussion of those episodes.

Heee, never to late to congratulate! :D Thank you very much. I'm, as you can probably assume, still very excited about the prospect. Now that you're on my flist, you'll get the updates along with everyone else! Hopefully not TOO much longer (and as my icon attests, I love Teryl so much that I cast her as the main character in my first novel :D Short, brunette, elf-like. :D)

The commentaries were always fun. I enjoyed Peter DeLuise and Gary Jones... to a point. You had to be in the right mood to listen to one of those commentaries ;-D But the ones with the cast were always something special, so it would've been nice to have more of those. A Teryl commentary would have made me fall over dead. I was just happy when commentators mentioned her ;-D

The only thing keeping me from REALLY wanting early-season commentaries? I know exactly what they would be... the directors wouldn't remember anything and the actors would all be laughing at how young they looked. *G*

So...when it gets made into a movie, are you going to insist that she plays the lead? :) Is it going to be available through Amazon? If so, I'd like to pre-order.

Peter and Gary were hit and miss for me. As long as they were talking about what was happening on the screen, then I found them just fine. Perhaps Peter was a touch crude but that didn't bother me. It's when they seem to have kind of forgotten that the point was to talk about the episode that they annoy me. But, they weren't being paid and we get so many extras I feel rather ungrateful to complain when they aren't all "up to my standards."

If someone comes along and wants to make it into a movie, them asking Teryl to play the lead will be my sole demand. Pay me what you want, but... try to get her. *G* I mean, it's not like I'm asking for Angelina Jolie or Nicole Kidman. Teryl would probably be in the budget! And she would do a phenomenal job. :D

And yeah, the book will be available at Amazon (I'll have a page on Amazon! Eee! :D) but it's not up for preorder yet. Mainly because it would need a freaking release date (sorry, bitterness coming through :D The original contract said it would be released before "July 2007," and... that hasn't happened. The last thing I heard was early to mid-September, but now it's looking like even that won't happen. So... yeah, a bit irritated at the whole delay). I will definitely let you know when it's available to buy! *G*

And I felt the same about Peter and Gary. I could love their commentary, or I could really, really hate it. Like I said, you had to be in the right mood for them or it would grate on you like nobody's business.

Exactly! If there's any doubt about whether she could do the role, I would help erase those doubts. She did an episode of Viper where she went from quiet, mousy assistant, to weepy and panicky hostage, to dead, to evil mastermind. All in forty minutes! Anyone who can do that and make it believable...

And I'm glad your icon isn't a real coin. If it was, I would be saving money, but I would never, ever spend it. ;-D

Ms. Teryl has the chops to tackle any project. I don't think anyone who has had the pleasure of getting to know her and her work has any doubt. Okay, okay: except for playing the world's tallest woman. Although, if they hired people no taller than 3.5' to work with her...I bet she'd convince me she's a giantess!

So, the icon definitely reads as a coin? Despite its being square? My perception is colored by my knowing what it's supposed to be. If there WERE Janet Dimes, then you could always have a Teryl in your pocket. ;)

Teryl is one of the few actors who never makes me doubt when I hear she's been cast. No matter what it is, I know she'll do a fantastic job. I think it's high time she got a starring role in something.

And it does read as a coin! To be honest, my first thought was "dollar," but then I realized it was more of a coin look. I think it reads very well. :D

Ah yes, we buy DVDs just because they have Teryl on them. She's enough to sell me on the project, even if it's some schlocky sci fi with Major Coburn turned into a people-eating alien bug. ;)

Dude, is that on DVD? *didn't even know!* But yes, I bought "Totally Awesome" on DVD. On the release date. Our loyalty knows no bounds. ;-D But have you seen The Operative? If you take it as an action-comedy, it's actually pretty enjoyable. And Teryl? ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS in it. And she's basically the hero's sidekick!

I am always happy to help evil plots. ;-D

I doubt it'll ever see DVD. That thing is wretched. We have Totally Awesome, too, though I'll admit we haven't yet watched it. We aren't the dedicated collector that you are so we don't have The Operative. I wish they'd cast her for leading roles more often. I know her height works against her int he industry but she's gorgeous enough to be the leading lady and god knows she out acts most everyone around her. *sigh*

As for Totally Awesome... I fast-forwarded to her scenes in the movie. And if you haven't watched the deleted scenes yet... dude. Do it now. There's one called "The Education of Max Gunderson." Just... watch that one and the DVD will have been worth the price of admission. ;-D

Ew, yuck. I just saw your post about the hotel stay. Be strong! Last summer our AC broke down and it was about 89 degrees in our house. Like non-stop. We would go outside just for the breeze. ;-D But things are fiiiine now.

Good news is that it rained so it's cool.

Bad news is that it rained and they can't do outdoor a.c. work in the rain.

So, it isn't fixed but it isn't as miserable as it could be. :) The real problem is that there isn't a breeze here. We get muggy and the air just gets heavy. This house was built back during the era of attic fans. They didn't build them to catch the breeze since the attic fan made its own. Alas, they took that out when they switched to central air. I'm really wishing we still had that attic fan!
