Notes:
I was going to hold onto all of these until I could add in all the icons I made for an upcoming icon battle that we'll post in just a few days but I'm giddy over getting another season of Supernatural so I'm posting now! The colors on this batch are all over the map. I ADORED "Frontierland" but the whole episode is sepia-toned. Talk about a boring mass of icons on the page. I've experimented a bunch with the colors; some were more successful than others. Sometimes I stuck with the browns, trying for a subtle differentiation, and others I tried to tease out the original colors before they messed with the colors. You might notice my fascination with Dean's holster *cough* or just Dean in general. 6x18 is a love letter to Jensen, I'm convinced. I don't think he's ever been hotter on screen.

Similarly, the con photography is a bear. The rooms are often dimly lit, the actors are backlit from the screen, and there are random flashes from various cameras. Again, I played around a bunch without ever settling on one best way to deal with the various lighting issues. Special thanks to anastdean, janie_tangerine, and hils whose amazing photography I used here. ♥

I have a couple more fans' photos downloaded but I have yet to find photos of Jensen feeling up Misha's inner thigh. :| Or Seb kissing Misha. Can anyone link me to these?

As soon as I finish the Icon Battle this month, I'll get back to finishing my icons for help_japan and icons I've promised people.

\o/ I know exactly what you mean. I've always thought that Jensen was one of the prettiest men I've ever seen but he reached whole new levels of insane, superhuman, hotness in this episode.

I've looked at iconning Charmed several times as I feel it keenly that my icons skew heavily to pretty boys but the caps I've found are always grainy and low quality. One nice thing about ic0nfest is being forced into trying new fandoms.

Thank you for the note on the coloring. I was uncertain about it so getting feedback is important.

I had tried coloring Twilight (I know, GASP!) icons when that movie came out and it was a BUTT to clean up that nasty blue tint. You did a nice job here adding more life to the otherwise "old-west" look of the Winchesters (not that I'm complaining on that one at all LOL).

Ic0nfest? Sounds interesting. It's always good to try and expand fandom horizons a bit, too. :)

So long as the film is full color and they just applied a filter, it IS possible to undo those sorts of color shifts. But if the set is mostly blue or if they used a fancy film (which I don't think exists) that is a blue/white version of black/white, you're stuck.

To remove blue, you have several options. You can use a yellow photo filter (if you have Photoshop). If not, then you can set your cap to hardlight over a yellow color layer. You'll have to play around to find the exact right shade of yellow and still tweak color after that but it'll make your life much happier. :D

ic0nfest is ongoing until this Sunday but the rounds are several times a year and I think are a LOT of fun. Speaking of which, I need to get back to playing there. Darn real life and its insistence on interfering with online fun.

I think the film was full-color and a filter applied, because I've seen some very clear and clean icons come from that horrible blue film.
