44 Stargate SG-1
10 Teryl Rothery & Michael Shanks as themselves or other roles
07 Eureka
25 Babylon 5
TEASERS:

Overall, not my favorite set. I haven't had much icon fu for the past month and I can see it in my lack of textures on a lot of these. However, these Janet Fraiser (SG-1) and Susan Ivanova (Babylon 5) icons have been burning a metaphorical hole in my pocket since right before I hit my slump so I'm posting regardless. EDIT: I didn't mean to imply people should bolster my ego. There are icons within this batch that I like. As a set, though, I'm less pleased than I'd like to be. Too many of these seem like something I could have made 8 months ago; I prefer to feel as if I'm improving.

Date: 2007-10-22 01:49 pm (UTC)Pffft! I think they're beautiful! It shouldn't always be about learning new stuff...if you make beautiful icons using "old" techniques...then it's all good! :D:D:D

Sadly, none of the above. ;))
I mean, I still love Stephanie Plum, but I already read every single "Plumfic" I could find...so now I'm just waiting for her next book. :-) In the meantime I'm reading vampire/supernatural books like mad...it's my "obsession of the moment"...now that my QaF love is on hiatus, I need new obsessions to keep me going! *grins*
How are things for you?

Date: 2007-10-22 02:04 pm (UTC)Obsessions are good. :) Vampires/Supernatural, eh? Reading about them is cool but I cannot watch it on the tube or in movies. Vampires scared the hell out of me when I was a kid. I saw one of those old vampire movies and was terrified. I didn't have a cross to ward off vampires so I slept with my "Children's Illustrated Bible" for probably a year. Apparently, it never occurred to me to make a cross. *rolls eyes at self* Most of the supernatural stuff doesn't scare me but if it's suspenseful television, I have a real problem with it. Even at my advanced age, I need someone to watch Supernatural with me. I am SUCH a wimp. Sylar is creepy enough for me, thanks.
I'm about to leave for vacation! This Friday! I'm returning to the Northeast (of the US). No Gale play this time (damn it) but I will be traveling down to Washington D.C. to visit the Smithsonian, seeing an Underground Railroad (for escaped slaves during our shameful history of slavery) in Maryland, and then working my way back north to rural NJ and finally Manhattan. I'm seeing lots of friends along the way and looking forward to being out of the office for 11 days. It cannot happen too soon.
How're things with you, hon? I keep hoping to read that someone there has realized that you're a treasure and offered you a fabulous job. I think about you from time to time. Especially when the job is trying. I remind myself that at least my paychecks arrive on time and then hope that yours are now doing so, too. *hugs*
